The Assalam School for Languages and Vocations

A saving grace for many is the Assalam School for Languages and Vocations. A not for profit organisation, the school was started, and to this day largely funded, by the Mennonite Central Committee in 1983 after the Israeli invasion into Lebanon. It offers a wide range of courses from Arabic literacy, English, barbering, hairdressing, computing and typing.
