Grafitti

Left: Khan Younis. Graffiti honoring a "martyr" adorns a wall in in Khan Younis. Anyone who has died in connection with the intifada, either in confrontation or simply by being in the wrong place, is deemed a martyr. This sort of graffiti has sprung up all over Gaza during recent months.

Right: Khan Younis. A woman waits for a funeral of another martyr to pass through a narrow street.
