The Open Society Institute invites photographers to submit a proposal and completed body of work for consideration in the Moving Walls 16 group exhibition. Since its inception in 1998, the Moving Walls exhibition series has featured nearly 100 photographers whose work addresses a variety of social justice and human rights issues that coincide with OSI's mission. The London International Documentary Festival (LIDF) in association
with the London Review of Books is calling for submissions. The call is
open and international. All subject matter is considered. Films must be
produced after January 1st 2007. First time and established filmmakers
all welcome. For the first time the LIDF and the LRB will be awarding a £1,000 prize.
The LIDF is scheduled to run for 8 days between 28th March, and
Saturday, April 4th, 2009.

Shoot Experience and the British Council in Colombia are holding a photgraphic competition to find out what people in Britain think about human rights. The winner will win a flight to Bogota, Columbia and have their photograph exhibited at Universidad de los Andes. The closing date is 31 October 2008.

Three Magnum photographers:
Carl De Keyzer, Mark Power and Donovan Wylie will be leading a five day workshop for advanced photographers providing an
exciting opportunity to build a new body of work under the guidance of
experienced practitioners.
The event is organised in collaboration with Brighton Photo Biennale
and will be held at the Centre for Research and Development at The
University Of Brighton.
