|These photographs by Les Stone were taken in Central Vietnam's Quang Tri province, where the heaviest fighting of
the war took place, and in Hanoi. Pictured on these pages are the children of soldiers who fought in the war and views of the people as Vietnam commemorates the anniversary.
|Twenty-five years ago, as the soldiers watched the vegetation shrivel and die, they could not have guessed at the far-reaching and fatal effects of the continuous chemical onslaught from the skies. All along the Ho Chi Minh trail, they ate the food, drank the water, and carried on fighting.|
