|I'm interested in the social perception of image creation. For the past three years I have been working with the "sandwich technique".
Two or more negatives are put one on another in the traditional way first, and then I process them a little bit digitally. The montage is entitled "Pop-Sacrum" - "Biological-Figurativity" and forms part of my diploma work.
The Pop-Sacrum are common motives from contemporary billboard works and religious culture in my home country, Poland.
The screen of The Virgin Mary, for example, I took during the Pope's visit to Poland in 1999.
In the Biological- Figurativity images, those blue - toned, most of them show preparates in formalin. I wanted to show a reduction of the human being into a pure " non - human" art form.
