During the past years, I have been documenting the drive to vaccinate all the children of the world against polio. I chose to photograph the national immunization campaigns among groups representative of population at risk: the Konso tribes of southern Ethiopia, villages of the Nepalese Himalayas, the Rabari people in the Indian desert and the Kurdish population of eastern Turkey, as well as the those trying to survive the civil war in Sierra Leone. Most recently I have travelled to Bangladesh and Yemen to continue this project.
