BAPLA Directory 2006

If you are interested in supplying images or working with BAPLA accredited picture libraries and agencies or are thinking of setting up a picture library, the BAPLA Directory is an excellent place to start. The directory lists over 400 libraries and agencies who have signed the BAPLA code of conduct, specialist copyright lawyers, industry suppliers, international associations and industry contacts.

This year we have improved the Directory navigation by including reference sections on image proofing and CMYK/RGB, and also a section on semiotics and using images.

The 2006-2007 BAPLA Directory is the essential tool for sourcing images. It contains full listings of all BAPLA accredited members (sorted both by member and by subject covered) to make your search for images quick and precise. The full range of subjects covered by our members is hugely diverse and this, combined with the wealth of specialist knowledge our members possess, means that you’re sure to find the pictures you need.

BAPLA represents over 400 picture libraries and agencies with between 75-80% being sole trader or photographer run businesses. Collectively BAPLA represents 401,000 photographers who are generating income through licensing their work.
