Pep Bonet ~ POSITHIV

23 November – 22 December 2005
bonet280
Pep Bonet, the winner of the 2005 W. Eugene Smith Grant, photojournalism's most prestigious award, unveils his long-term project on the HIV pandemic in Africa. His challenging photographs, in vivid colour and stark black and white,
illustrate the dramatic impact of antiretroviral (ARV) drugs.

In association with Médecins sans Frontières, Bonet has documented treatment programmes in six African countries. The exhibition eloquently illustrates how ARV treatment can transform the lives of people living with AIDS and casts a positive and hopeful light on this bleak subject.
