 Swiss photographer Yann Mingard's work traces the geopolitical contours of some of the world's remotest regions in a series of fascinating journeys.
In the Siberian republic of Tuva, he studied the ancient culture of shamanism, a spirit world which is enjoying a revival after decades of Soviet repression. In Western China he undertook a gruelling trek along the old Silk Road retracing the steps of two celebrated 1930s European explorers. Yann is also exhibiting a series of images capturing the mystical atmosphere of alpine woodlands illuminated at twilight.
