Capa Cache from NYTimes

The New York Times reports that Robert Capa's "Mexican Briefcase" was acquired by ICP last month after many years' efforts.  The three cardboard valises contain thousands of negatives by Capa, David Seymour, and Gerda Taro thought lost when Capa fled Paris. They were safeguarded by Capa's darkroom manager Cziki and moved to Marseilles where they were somehow acquired my Mexican General Aguilar Gonzalez who brought them to Mexico, Their existence was brought to the attention of the ICP via descendants of the general. Negatives include images from Capa's coverage of the Spanish Civil War.
