Between Then and Now is a documentary project about people from a vanishing world nestled in the Bavarian Forest. It is one that is known for its rural way of life but is undergoing massive change. The traditional style of life is slipping away and along with it, its values and traditions. People are left behind as younger generations move on. By travelling around I got to know not just the region but sought out traces of a past life. I felt like a hunter, who is not just catching and collecting these people but allowing their stories and way of life to maintain a presence.
