The renowned PhotoVoice Auction of Exceptional Photographs is back for its 10th year on Tuesday 20 November 2012, hosted by global marketing and technology agency LBi at the Atlantis Building, part of the old Truman Building, Brick Lane, London E1. This unique celebration of world class photography includes 85 live and silent auction lots, and offers the perfect opportunity for budding photography collectors to start their collection or serious art buyers to invest in a beautiful and often rare print.
The prints will be auctioned to benefit charity PhotoVoice, a leader in the field of participatory photography, who design and develop projects for the empowerment of marginalised groups worldwide, for positive social change.
From still life to celebrity portraits, and landscape to documentary, the collection includes an exciting array of exceptional photography. Some highlights include Nadav Kander’s Embrace, Ian Berry’s Juke Box Johannesburg, 1961 and John Chillingworth’s Diana Dors, 19 May 1956. Works by Sarah Moon, Herb Ritts, Tim Flach, Simon Roberts, Jane Bown, Michael Kenna and Laura Hynd amongst others, all add up to a stunning and diverse collection of work, representing some of the very finest photography has to offer.
There will be the opportunity to preview a selection of prints to be auctioned from Thursday 1st until Tuesday 20th November, Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, at LBi.
