I’m a 2nd year photography student at Middlesex University. We were given a project on how the US has influenced the world as part of the course so I went to Afghanistan in December 2009 and did this project. I photographed Afghanis, everyone from police and caterers to TV executives and beauticians and asked “how has America influenced your life?” I couldn’t interview everyone as some didn’t like to be quoted but the ones who did are recorded below.
