The frist prize for the People’s Choice is awarded to Jonathan Banks for his image from Liberia. With the vast array of subject matters and genres of photography represented in the Summershow, the vote was very tight, with almost every print receiving at least one vote. Jonathan will be awarded with a prize of £500 for his first place image.

Through dance, poetry, music, theatre and traditional arts, the Festival sees people from different cultural, linguistic and ethnic groups coming together to celebrate peace in a country that was torn apart by 14 years of conflict. © Jonathan Banks

The winner of the most votes for second place is Chris Frazer-Smith for ‘Apartments II, Hong Kong’ and third place goes to Baptiste Giroudon, with an image of an Afghan worker on Gardez US miltary base.
