We not only had a record number of entries, with over 3,200 individual images to choose from, but also enjoyed, along with hundreds of others, the now famous Summershow launch party which once again took over Honduras Street and beyond. It was a pleasure and honour to welcome photographers to the launch (some came from overseas!) along with their friends and familes who came to see the exhibition. We are forever grateful to the photographers who enter the Summershow and support the event which is becoming an annual must-see in London.
We are also of course very grateful for our media partners and the press who’ve helped us, year on year, spread the word about the Summershow. Feel free to flip through the pdf below for a selection of some of this year’s press clippings and quotes from photographers. Images from the Summershow were featured in a 10-page spread in the Spectrum of the Sunday Times Magazine as well as Yahoo News, the Guardian, the Independent, PDN and Huffington Post, among many others. Without these invaluable features and listings we would not have gotten such a record number of visitors to the gallery this summer.
This year we also have the honour of being able to present a brand new camera to the winner of the People’s Choice Fujifilm X10 Award, thanks to the generous ongoing support of Fujifilm. The award is presented on 16 August at the Summershow Closing Party.
The Summershow exhibition closes at 4pm on Saturday 18 August so make sure you get to Honduras Street to see it before then.
