Well done to poda who won our most recent competition on flickr, a back issue of 8 Magazine is on it’s way to you now!

We wanted to see your pictures that predominantly feature the sun and had another overwhelming response, so thank you to all that entered.

This picture stood out because the ‘sunlight’ is not only the subject of the photograph, but is also integral to the creation of the scene. The shaft of light illuminating the lone figure at once directs our attention towards the person and at the same time produces the depth necessary to describe this clearing within the forest. A beautiful and atmospheric shot.
