But whether photographing in Kuwait after the First Gulf War, the killing fields of Bosnia, or the occupied West Bank, she has produced compelling bodies of work that are motivated by artistic, rather than journalistic, concerns.   Sophie spoke to Guy Lane about her work and its enduring themes.
