A typical Indian film is about three hours long, combines song and dance routines (minimum of five in one film), violent action sequences, a dose of religious piety, romance and erotic dances which are just on the border of being banned by the country's strict censorship regulations. The success of a film is usually determined by it's stars, music, film score, choreography and playback singers. The most extravagant movies now cost up to Rs. 200 million(over US $4.5 million) to produce, and the top actors (in Hindi cinema) can make up to one million US Dollars per film. |
