The loss of sensitivity prevents them from feeling if they have hurt themselves, or to notice if an infection or skin condition is developing. (Right) Like most blind patients living in the center, Mr Nambu owns a television set. He enjoys listening to the 7 o'clock news and weather forecast every morning.
